Snow Bunnies and some specs to die for!

What do teenagers do when the sky dumps a foot of snow on their house?

Build a snowman?

Go sledding?

Snowball wars?

No.

They model!

I got up in the morning thinking the girls would be bustling about trying to find all their ski gear to go sledding down the street. When I entered their room, they were busy curling my 8 year old's hair. She smiled real big and said, "We're gong to have a modeling session, Mommy!"

Well, at least they had fun. Here's some pics of the "session":

All that snow puts me into the Christmas mood! I had a google alert the other day for some interesting specs. If you're getting Princess Peepers for a princess on your Christmas list, you may consider choosing from some really unique eyewear to go along with the book. Here's a fun one I found that I can't wait to get:

These are butterfly glasses--Princess Peepers wears some in the book AND they're made out of her favorite colors! They come from Dr. Peepers for only $7.99!

Another favorite pair of mine are from Dr. Peepers too:

My daughter has a great time with them.

Winter Wonderland

Last night, my daughter had a Christmas party. She was dreaming about it for weeks and it seemed like it was going to be spectacular. We prepared and decorated and couldn't wait for all the 8 year olds to swarm the house!

Here's some pics of the preparation!

(My daughter loves to cut cheese! HA!)

To the right is the place where the kids would create Christmas ornaments and decorate cupcakes.

I think we're ready!

Now, if you notice in the background, the clouds are looking a bit stormy...and the trees are still evergreen...

Yep! A huge snowstorm hit shortly after this picture was taken. So, only TWO children braved the storm to come.

But THEY HAD FUN!!!

To fully appreciate what the girls braved last night, this is what the outside looked like this morning:

No school today!

Now where did I put my piles of coal, carrot stick, and magic hat...
