Then something arrives at the door...
But wait! It's the new princess book they've been DYING to read for months! Who will get to read it first? "You know I asked to read this first," says H, calmly twisting it ever so slightly out of her sister's grasp.
"No, you didn't!" K grabs onto the spine a little more fiercely. "You get to read every book Mom brings home first. It's my turn!"
"But it's about princesses and you know that's like my favorite subject. Still."
"Yeah, but PINK is my favorite color and this is all pink and sparkly and PERFECT!"
"Did someone say they wanted to be pink? Your wish is my command."
And she waves her magic wand...
POOF!
And then the pixie sees the most spectacular book just lying there on the floor...so she picks it up.
And starts to read...
She doesn't even notice tiny voices telling her to change them back and if she doesn't they're going to tell Mom and boy is she going to get it. The little pixie is too transfixed by the story about a girl who works in a pet shop. (The pixie's dream is to run her own pet shop!) And then one day in this sparkly princess story something amazing happens. A woman asks the heroine if she wants to be a substitute princess. Like...wow! Suddenly, the pixie doesn't even want to change her sisters, I mean, those stubborn annoying stuffed animals back into their original selves...
Well, she decides she will after she reads the book. But she has one last word of advice to you, dear reader...
